About Us

AgrAbility Virginia assists farmers, farmworkers, and their families who identify with illness, injury, or disability to work safely and productively with dignity through education, rehabilitative services, and assistive technology.  AgrAbility Virginia services are funded through USDA NIFA and free to Virginians.


How We Support

We offer support services to farmers that include, but are not limited to:

  • Educational resources & trainings for farmers, farmworkers, and families
  • Disability advocacy
  • Assistive technology for accessibility and mobility
  • Coordinate community services and outreach
  • Identify funding sources for farmers

We support a wide diversity of farmers across all farming communities, such as:

  • Small and mid-size farms
  • Rural and urban settings
  • Beginning farmers
  • Military veterans
  • Socially disadvantaged farmers

We assist farmers with a wide variety of experiences, such as:

  • Arthritis
  • Spinal cord injuries/paralysis
  • Back impairments
  • Brain/head injury
  • Stroke
  • Visual/hearing impairments
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Mental health and stress
  • Autism
